Pinckney

Overview

Located in southeast Livingston County, the fastest-growing area of Michigan’s fastest-growing county, Pinckney’s population now approaches 2,500.  With quick access to both US-23 and I-96, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Lansing, and Flint are within easy reach of Pinckney residents.

Aside from convenient commute distances, Pinckney’s appeal lies in its location in the heart of lake country, and adjacent to the Pinckney Recreation Area, a natural area of over 11,000 acres administered by Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources.  Within minutes of Pinckney, the outdoor enthusiast will find more than a dozen lakes, as well as hunting areas and miles of hiking, biking, and riding trails.

Pinckney offers a variety of housing types, including small lakefront cottages, newer subdivisions, and executive residences.  In 2006, the average price of a single family home was $247,082, and the median was $225,000.
